A rare model of the Zakspeed RTL Team's Ford Escort RS1600 that Dieter Glemser drove to win the Division 2 Championship in the 1974 DRM.  The car ran a 1966cc, 272bhp, Zakspeed Ford BDA 4 in line engine and ZF 5-speed transmission.

A spectacular model of the  Ford/Zakspeed Gr.5 L4 1400cc Turbo Escort that competed in the 1980 Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft driven by Wolfgang Boller finishing 15th with 47 points.




Scala 43 produce crisply cast resin kits with particularly fine panel engraving, white metal ancillaries and some of the best photo-etching you will see. Hand-built models beautifully finished with flawless paint and finely applied details. Made in Germany

A rare model indeed, manufactured by Grand Prix Models in the late 1970s as part of their Series'76, this hand made white metal model is accompanied with all the original paperwork.  It includes sketches of the 4 models in the series and even lists the full production team, a far cry from the mass produced Chinese models of today.   This model shows Hans Heyer in his class dominating Group 4 Zakspeed Escort which finished 3rd in the 1976 round of the DRM at Hockenheim.

Gwyndaf Evans and Howard Davies had been leading the rally but their brand new F2 Escort landed on its nose on the switchback through Kerrowglass, damaging the suspension, radiator and sump.. Gwyndaf was able to keep the car going for a while but eventually it expired. You can watch Gwyndaf crash the car here .
