Higgins/Martin
Newly crowned British Rally champion, Mark Higgins took the honours on the Roger Albert Clark Rally 2005, beating 2004 winner and World Rally champion, Stig Blomqvist by over four minutes.
Higgins ended up dominating the event in his Eddie Stobart liveried Mk I Escort - winning 23 of the events 29 stages on his competitive debut in a rear wheel drive car.
By the end of day two Higgins was a good 15 seconds or so ahead of Blomqvist, but the turning point came on SS15 on day three, when he was over 30 seconds quicker than Jimmy McRae and 44 seconds faster than Blomqvist! He ended the third leg with a healthy two and half minute lead and he continued his domination over the fourth and final day, nearly doubling his advantage.

A limited run of 120 cars used as the recce car for the route of the 1970 London-Mexico Rally were given away to trade customers at the 1996 Nurnberg Toy Fair. The model featured two minilite wheel/tyres mounted on the roof, and bars from the top of the windscreen to the strut tops as featured on the works cars that competed on the event. A plaque was inscribed "Trofeu, 47 Internationale Spielwarenmesse, Nurenberg 1/2 - 7/2 1996" and the model number of the 120 produced. This is a very rare model and were the only works, non bubble arched cars produced by Trofeu.
